The calendar of Dartar

The calendar of Dartar is based of the movements of The sun of Dartar.
A year consists of 243 days, divided into two seasons and nine months of twenty-seven days each. each month is devided into 3 9 day weeks. the year begains on Ilus, the day when the sun is highest in the sky. Aroth marks the middle of the year and the year ends the day before the next Ilus.
The months are: Vlekias, Kratin, Uvrea, Ucall, Lodrane, Okica, Fomus, Nidill, and Jazix. The days of the week are: Laquin, Inios, Ireon, Acrone, Podras, Klesias, Cribios, Chazia, and Zabias.

Purpose

the calender's purpose is to keep track of time.

Holidays

The two main holidays are Ilus and Aroth. they are the lowest and higest points of the sun.
Ilus
High-sun is the most important holiday. the morning is dedicated to the memorys of he previos year, the afternoon is dedicated to looking ahead to the next year. in the evening there is a festival.
Aroth
Low-sun is celebrated in different ways. near Skyreach, peopel see it as something that make their world unique, and celebrate around large fires. father from Skyreach, the day is associated with bad luck. people light cadles in their windows to ward it off.
Mythrin's day
On the 214th, Mythrin comes back to life. this is celebrated among followers of Mythrin.
Fourtune's day
on the 98th Galgazar grants good foutune to thoose who have been following him since last full moon.
