The Myth of The Shadow Blade

The myth of the shadow blade has been passed down for many generations. The people of Quantan enjoy hearing the story, and it has been loved by most who hear it. The story has inspired lots of people to try and find the sword, but no matter how hard people look, they never find it.

Summary

Long ago the deamons from the darkness forged a powerful blade called The Shadow Blade on Quantan. The sword killed anyone it touched. When people came to Quantan, they hated the deamons, so they fought them in a battle. A huge deamon carried The Shadow Blade. The monstrous beast killed hundreds apon hundreds of warriors, until one of the warriors ran up from behind, and stabbed the deamon in the back. The sword flew out of its hand, and landed in the midst of the battle, never to be found again. The warrior that killed the deamon died after that in the battle. A monument stands tall in the middle of the ancient battlefield to remind people of the brave warrior.

Historical Basis

The only evidence that the battle ever happened is an old battlefield with rusted swords, and bones. In the center of it is a tall stone obilisk with the name of the warrior that killed the deamon bearing the shadow blade carved deep into it. This old abandoned battlefield is a famous landmark

Many books have been written about it. Some of the books are: The Dark Blade, A Fragment of Evil, and The Battle and the Blade.

A few songs are sung about the blade, but not many.
