El Nuevo Legado

When America entered Mexico to take control of their oil reserves they created a myriad of terrorist cells over night. These freedom fighters had varying degrees of success, though most were rooted out long before they could cause any actual damage. One such organization ended up marooned in the Pan Handle as the bombs fell, the last transmission they would ever receive from home being the fate of their capitol.

Believing they lacked sufficient numbers to survive long term in hostile territory they began a series of suicide missions against military targets picked out before the Great War. These skirmishes ended up going largely in their favor due their fervor and fighting spirit against a broken enemy. Deciding not to go down so easily, they began to make a plan for the future.

Although it took a while to bring their population up, they have instilled a warrior culture in the new generations that make them deceptively capable even when outnumbered. Sharp shooting and manufacturing improvised explosives are considered common tricks of the trade. Using captured civilian and military vehicles they employ many hit and run tactics alongside surprise ambushes to maximize effectiveness. They have maintained this motor pool meticulously over the years, as it also serves as their nomadic home.
