Evolved Centaur

The random nature of Centaur creation prevents species from developing in any form of natural or predictable way. Instead, their cognitive and physical functions must be observed to properly identify them. While most struggle to maneuver their environment in a nearly catatonic state, some have managed to adapt to their new biology surprisingly well.

These higher functioning beings will often turn on their masters, leading their lesser evolved cousins away so that they can form packs of their own in the wild. Although unable to procreate they will still instinctively create and defend dens. This poses a major threat to those inhabiting the area as once this false breeding season begins it has no natural end.

Specimens were captured and experimented on by the Eden Compound after a series of missing patrols. What they found shocked them, as Evolved Centaurs seem to have the uncanny ability to absorb the memories of any organism they ingest. One report even suggested that those that had consumed humans were capable of understanding our technology to some degree. Although physically incapable of manipulating it, the functionality was not lost to them as they regularly attempted to attack generators before escape attempts.
