Homestead Caravan Company Building / Landmark in The Great Dust Bowl | World Anvil

Homestead Caravan Company

Full assets list in World Credits!

A work-in-progress plan for a building on the Fallout Vancouver play-by-post for my character to set down some roots!

Overview

Planned as an unofficial hub for trading, it is built next to the brahmin pens in an attempt to make the caravanners feel more comfortable stopping by the settlement. Making his home inside and always willing to drop what he is doing to make a deal or entertain, drifters can usually find Virgil in the lounge area or in the pens tending to the cattle.

Outside (Requires Rare Plan)

Trade Caravan Post

More preparation and wishful thinking for now, this outside stall could someday help coordinate the import and export of Homestead.

1st Floor

Valentine's Bar

A comfortable place for other settlers to kick their feet up and relax. Virgil prides himself on his ability to host, and guests can often expect games or gambling depending on the temperment of the crowd. Saving up to hire a bartender, he is nearly halfway to his goal and construction has not even begun.

Virgil's Bedroom

A place for Virgil to relax and an extra large bed that can handle his immense size. Filled to the brim with books and home to any wasteland cat that happens to beg him for food, it is a cozy room made private with a collection of hanging rugs that help block out some of the noise from the lounge.

The Split-Bedroom

One room cut into two so that each person could have an element of privacy at the sacrifice of some living space. Planned to someday serve as a hotel, for now the needs of the community outweigh the need for profits and they are open to any Homestead resident that does not have a roof over their head.

2nd Floor (Planning Stage)

The Guard Shack

An elevated position in which to watch the flank of the community that is also closest to the valuable brahmin resource that Homestead currently has in abundance. Just a sketch and ambition at this stage, Virgil was told that it was something that the local Brotherhood agent wanted to protect the settlement.
