Oscar Tanner
Prior to the Great War, Oscar was a Canadian
wizkid with a bright future. The American
invasion brought that to an end. Instead he
was forced to turn his talents to war. Fixing
vehicles, weapons and armour. Even people.
Then he was catpured. And to the Americans,
prisoner of war meant slave. Recognised for
genius, he was forced to work on a robobrain
project. He hates himself for what he was
made to do and for not being strong enough
to anything other capitulate.
From the time he was captured until
the bombs fell, he was made to murder his
contrymen and women. Scooping out their
brains, installing them in robot chassis’. It
was horrible hellish work. The only step in
the process he wasn’t made to to was to erase
their memories and program them.
After the bombs, he and the other
enslaved staff were themselves made into
robobrain robots. Oscar doesn’t know how or
why he came back to his senses. Just that the
horrors of the wasteland are a sweet relief
from the hell that had been his life.
