The Enclave XVB-02

These designs weren't actually fine-tuned for mass production until after the Great War. When the Enclave unleashed them upon the wasteland there was simply nothing that could compete with their versatility and combat ability. Factions that opposed this new regime were forced underground rather than face total annihilation.

Designed to act as heavy support rather than the transportation of soldiers, these gunships bring a diverse array of armaments into battle that can greatly alter the outcome of any fight. These specifications require additional crew and limit the vertibirds' ability to deploy significant numbers of soldiers into combat. With the ability to fire an arsenal of rocket propelled explosives and perform mini-nuke bombing runs, this compromise suits the Enclave's tactics just fine.

The models that exist at the The Eden Compound were prototypes from before the war that were later updated using data from other Enclave installations. Being secluded underground for so long they have not had much time to fine tune their own version like so many other splinter cells have. This leads to problems dealing with the sandstorms in the region, limited the operation time of these machines before they must be serviced by maintenance crews.
