A tradition inside the Kingdom Of Galus. Around each city is a proverbial line in the sand, where no conflict is allowed. No weapons are allowing in any of the walled cities of Galus without the Watch knowing about it, all outside political argument and disagreement, all personal strife and conflict are not allowed. Leave the problems at the door, so to speak. Infractions of this result in both parties being fined, as well as the instigator facing potental prison time for breaking the Pomerium.
This is religiously enforced by the vast majority of both the City Watch/Military, as well as the ordinary Citizens. Lending an air of peace inside the Cities, this very tradition has made it so the each of the Galacian Cities have become diplomatic hubs for all walks of life. Glaion becoming the Central Capitol for the Federation and all political discussions involving any nation.
