Galus Route
Trade routes:
Mhuzelti - Galus route: 1
Extensive in network as the route carries hundreds of vessels in either direction. Goods ranging from food to industrial products to military equipment. The route stops at each of the major ports along the Peninsula as merchants and various companies offload and take on more products to continue on.
Many stops tend to have a particular type of goods to take on, for example the difference between Willow Brook and Port De Renard. Willow brook being a fair unspecialized community that has the needs of an entire city in mind, whereas Port De Renard is mostly going to export Wine and other more Exotic Liquors. Though one notable example exists with Fort De Namoux.
Fort De Namoux is one of the only Galus Military outposts along the western Shores of Galus and is situated at the mouth of the Pass of Trails. Any ship foolhardy enough to venture out past the archipelago has more or less a 50/50 shot of not coming back. Those waters were never mapped or charted to the same degree the Pass has been, where all hazards have been meticulously mapped out and marked.
The Fort is the only place Military equipment is off loaded, unless Galus’ ally Mhuzelt has requested something specific. Thus leading it to be a checking and customs port in this age. The fort has long moved past it’s original intention of defending the pass from Mhuzelt, though the fort is still fully operational in its pursuit of pirates, smugglers and raiders. The fort still stands as a fully functional military base where Navel personnel cut their teeth in the rough waters of the Pass.
Beyond this point, ships continue on to Split Rock that functions very similarly to Willow Brook, though Split Rock is more or less the Gatehouse to the Mhuzelti Interior. When ships have offloaded their goods, they load up again with Mhuzelti Gnomish products and continue the route in reverse as they head back to Glaion and Estile.
