Lecture of A Wayfare Acolyte

"No No NO, you have to feel the push and pull on you, to get the sense of it. When you open a portal to where you want to go, you have to maintain the balance of pushing open the portal and not resisting the pull to close it. Think of it like the tides, a powerful force, it calls to you. If you fall for the call, the portal closes. You have to spread the magic in a forceful push, and hold it there. No, you are doing it wrong. You make a portal like that only half of a person is getting through.   Watch, gentle at first, puncture reality, a pinprick. Fold the weave to you, and gently open the puncture, and hold it open for as long as you need. Hold it open like you would a tight draw pouch. Don't let it close, hold it. Wonderful! I think you have it! Now do it again.    No no no you throttled it again, you open it like a sword strike! Look at what you've opened, I can see the great desert, the Glaion capitol, and the Mountain of the Hammerfall! Reality can't handle sending someone to all three. Close it, begin again. Damn it boy! close it! NOW!. No, you can't send a single person to three different places in a single instance. Think about what you just said, and tell me the logic.    How many times do we have to tell you that a single entity can only exist in one place at a single time...Well yes, a single time is a bit of a misnomer. We are not discussing the metaphysics of branching time when I TOLD YOU TO CLOSE YOUR DANGEROUS FUCKING PORTAL!.    One more word out of you, and I'll make you eat nothing but bread and water for the next month... you will be heading back to Basics of Temporal Anomalies again Acolyte.   -Felix Grandmaster of the Wayfarers Guild in Mhuzelt.
