Mournbane
A.K.A Shadow's Folly, Cold kiss, Syn’s Wrath. This sword was held by the mythical figure known as Taneth the Navigator. The Navigator was a member of the Namoux species, who had mapped out most of the known world with his crew as they ventured to plot the coastlines of the continent. The sword has since been lost after Taneth and the entire Namoux people disappeared in the Dawn of Truths. Legends tell that the blade was stark white, an unfathomably sharp edge that could cut through any material with ease. These same legends tell us that the blade, not made of any known metal or wood. It was bone, what that bone was from is debatable. Some say this calcareous weapon was a femur from a cursed creature that dwelt where the light had never touched. Some say it was the bone of a forgotten god. Regardless, the blade was an exceptional tool for The Navigator. It makes an appearance in every story of his exploits. The few scraps of information that exist from ancient history say he would frequently crusade against Shadows with the blade. That the weapon would shine with the light of the sun, but was icy cold to the touch. This had led many would-be heroes, adventure seekers and Artifact hunters to spend their lives hunting for the fabled blade.
“It should be noted that many of the nicknames and aliases for the blade seem to be a mistranslation. Though it is also worth mentioning that the sunlight that came from the blade seems to be where the Syn’s Wrath name came from. Ah, I forget myself, we speak of legends. Shrouded in conjecture and misdirection. Who is to say the whole tale isn’t a fabrication?” Unknown Historian Stationed in the Huronian Marshals Armada.
