Personal history

Born into a family serving the lord and lady of a Perlisian demesne, Magnus Voltaire had the privilege of growing up in an environment of wealth and influence. His parents, occupied with their duties at the court, had little time for their only son. Undeterred by this, Magnus found solace and fascination in the family's extensive library and his mother's magical tomes.

From a young age, Magnus displayed an interest in magic, experimenting with spells and incantations he found in his mother's collection. While his peers were engaged in social activities, Magnus preferred the company of books and the pursuit of arcane knowledge. As he honed his magical abilities, his studies extended into darker realms, drawn by the allure of forbidden power.

Reaching adolescence, Magnus embraced the teachings of Ikaia in secret, attending clandestine cultist gatherings. His proficiency in both wizardry and dark magic did not go unnoticed, and he soon became a prominent member within the cultist community. Upon coming of age, Magnus initiated a community project aimed at introducing magical knowledge to the local population.

It was during one of these cultist meetings that Magnus crossed paths with Silvius Lavinia, who recognized the potential within him and offered him a position as one of her personal guards. This marked the beginning of Magnus's service to Lady Silvius, intertwining his destiny with the pursuit of power and the shadows that lurked within the world of dark magic.

You have learned to regain some of your magical energy by studying your spellbook. Once per day when you finish a short rest, you can choose expended spell slots to recover. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than half your wizard level (rounded up), and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher.

For example, if you’re a 4th level wizard, you can recover up to two levels worth of spell slots. You can recover either a 2nd level spell slot or two 1st level spell slots.

Disarming Attack

When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to attempt to disarm the target, forcing it to drop one item of your choice that it’s holding. You add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll, and the target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it drops the object you choose. The object lands at its feet.

Feinting Attack
