level 1

"The Starting Zone" in the High Tower was once a thriving city, known as the gateway for adventurers chosen by the fairies. These adventurers, selected one by one from planet Earth, were tasked with venturing through the tower's levels, confronting its issues, and ultimately apprehending the mysterious and elusive King of the High Tower. Each adventurer brought unique skills, knowledge, and determination to their quest.   In its prime, the city was a beacon of prosperity, life, and love. It bustled with activity as adventurers from all walks of life prepared for their perilous journeys into the higher levels of the High Tower. The city's inhabitants celebrated the courage and hope that the adventurers brought, forging a close-knit community.   However, as the dangers of the higher levels became increasingly apparent, with monsters, evil beings, and treacherous traps, the city's residents grew fearful. They witnessed the struggles and sacrifices of the adventurers and began to question the price of their own safety. Gradually, the allure of the higher levels waned, and the city fell into disrepair as it was overshadowed by the perils above.   This vulnerability was exploited by the authoritarian ultranationalist movement, A.U.M. Led by the ruthless Joseph Goebbels, the Minister for Propaganda, A.U.M seized control of the city. Goebbels wielded immense power, controlling all forms of media, arts, and public information. His emotionally charged speeches were used to manipulate and mobilize the A.U.M Settlements throughout the tower.   The adventurers who once thrived in "The Starting Zone" found themselves facing a difficult choice. The dangers of the higher levels had become too great, and many chose to abandon their quests, leaving the city to fall under A.U.M's fascist rule. A once-vibrant and hopeful community was now subjugated by tyranny.   A.U.M's grip on "The Starting Zone" extended even further. To ensure that no heroes would rise to challenge their rule, they established a covert task force known as "The Hounds," led by the cunning and relentless Kevin the Rat. The Hounds were tasked with monitoring and eliminating any adventurers or individuals who dared to oppose A.U.M's authority.   A.U.M, short for the Authoritarian Ultranationalist Movement, was founded by Heinrich Himmler J.R., a descendant of the infamous Heinrich Himmler. Himmler J.R., driven by a desire to establish his own legacy apart from Adolf Hitler's shadow, exploited the chaos of the "Black Valley" war. While Adolf Hitler, the chosen figure, distanced himself from the war, Himmler saw it as an opportunity to create a massive army and make a name for himself.   Over time, the remnants of Nazi armies and fascist ideologies persisted in the High Tower. Poverty-stricken areas were particularly susceptible to A.U.M's propaganda, and they began to embrace fascist beliefs, leading to the rise of the ultranationalist movement within the tower.   As a result, A.U.M remains one of the most despised and feared organizations in the High Tower, and "The Starting Zone," once a symbol of hope, is now a stark reminder of the tower's descent into tyranny and darkness. The adventurers' legacy lives on in the hearts of a few who still dare to challenge A.U.M's reign.
