The wise Peacekeepers

peacekeepers are an extraordinary race. while all the other races are said to come from something that exists in this plane of assistance, peacekeepers are said to come from another plane of existence. legend has it that there are a lot of different worlds that exist that the humans have no knowledge of. the void, hell, heaven, Vallereon, the spirit realm, and the realm of the dead. each realm is said to have its own civilization and a purpose. peacekeepers are said to come from the spirit realm and no one precisely knows why they came from there, but a lot of ancient scriptures suggest that they were running away from something.
peacekeepers have a strong connection with the spirits, they are so powerful that they can see into the future sometimes. they use inner energy as their main source of power. the energy that they use is called Xen, it's a power that everyone can use by mastering their inner self. Xen is a hand to hand combat technique that allows oneself to tap into another level of self-power. it's a very hard power to learn and master. for humans, it may take decades before someone could use it. peacekeepers are known to be monks, they are wise and offer peace and tranquility even to their enemies. during the first coming  the peacekeepers were the voice of reason and managed to stop casualties from acquiring. they had many followers including other races. some historians also believe that they were going to end the war before azir came into the picture. 
the peacekeepers suddenly disappeared one day without any trace. some historians believe that they didn't exist at all, as they believe that it was a type of religion rather than an actual race. the peacekeepers were said to be last scene with the mighty orcs in the Hellscream lands. most historians believe that the fight between the orcs and the peacekeepers is the reason for both parties to be eradicated. some historians disagree but one thing is evident and that is whatever happened was very powerful that the entire lands became soulless and lost its life. 
some evidence suggests that during the war against azir the peacekeepers were actually there. and some say that they actually exist in the high tower as well.
