Edward Bainbridge

The Lay Lines of London as they come to be called is at this point a very quiet matter, though those that lived in the 16th century in London recall the complexity and mystery of that situation vividly. While to most Vampires this is simply a curiosity at this point, as whatever threat it posed seems to have diffused, to the Tremere this is still nearly three hundred years later one of the most important research sites in Europe.
It is presumed that the Tremere Chantry continues work on the Lay Lines in London simply because of the sheer number of Tremere present in the city. Perhaps one of the more prominent chantry members in the city is Edward Bainbrdige who arrived in the city only a few years ago working as an assistant to Aan Sha'mad Tai'shar, the presumed head of the chantry in London.
He is not the first Tremere to arrive and assist in the Lay Lines research, but he has certainly been one of the most influential. Though this influence has been less about his capability as a researcher and more about his neutrality towards the developing political situations in London. He has, in many ways become the spokesperson for the Tremere, being extremely diplomatic and almost Ventrue like in his dealings with the Camarilla and clans of the city. He has paved the way for Tremere acceptance on both a political and social level, easing the efforts of his chantry's ongoing research.
He is a gentlemen, respectful, quick with a joke to lighten a tense situation and extremely tolerant, giving him the persona of an all around good guy. He has, in a word, made the Tremere more tolerable in the city, though he seems to have no personal stake in the politics of London, but rather working to keep its politics clear of the Chantry so they can continue their work unimpeded.

Over the last two centuries the relationship between the Camarilla and Tremere has become strained. The Tremere are becoming more and more exclusive and secretive, while also becoming more demanding of the Camarilla. The hostility has created a lot of resentment and frustration, but also fear as rumors of very powerful Tremere that have diablorized their way to Methuselah status means their could be a major power shift on the horizon. The Camarilla are extremely watchful and suspicious of the Tremere and its clear that Tremere like Edward are their to ease the tensions.
