Marcus Elias

On the brink of living in the open is a gang of presumed Brujah, seven of them at last count, that run the cities underbelly criminal organizations, presumably all of them. Their leader, one Marcus Elias, is rumored to be a former prince from Spain’s Barcelona who famously told the ruling pope in the early part of the 8th century to “Go fuck himself” while visiting at the Vatican. It’s unclear what set off this exchange and exactly how he managed to walk out of there alive, but the story lives in infamy and has turned Marcus into something of a celebrity among rebellious, typically young kindred, while being universally scorned by established elders and clergy men for his boldness. They have established a very public pub and Inn for kindred and mortals alike several centuries ago on Baker street in central London called The Guinea. This seedy joint is one of the oldest businesses in the city, as is Marcus Elias one of the cities oldest residents. A place with dark corners where even darker deals are made, it is considered at least for visiting kindred the safest place in town as Marcus prides himself on running the place like an Elysium with the same degree of respect, expectation and violent punishment for transgression, something his enforcers are all to eager to describe as one enters this domain. The baker boys are also the official Elysium enforcers with all of the responsibilities of that position, though they do not hold the coveted position of Master of Elysium, nailing the point home that power is earned in London not taken by force.

Personal history

Marcus Elias had rooted himself in London for Centuries, however his involvement in the London Revolution of the 12th century made him an outlaw in the eyes of the Camarilla and after faking his own death, he disappeared, not to appear again until the mid 16th century. By the 21st century Marcus will be attributed for being one of the founding members of "The Brotherhood" which would become the modern nights Sabbat coven.
