Theo Bell

Theo Bell is a new arrival to the London Kindred scene, landing by ship from the new world in 1868, according to him a former slave turned by his southern master. Very clearly a young vampire, he claims to be the progeny of a southern cotton plantation aristocrat by the name of Marible Wesley, a Brujah. The new world so far removed the vampire was unknown to anyone in local London, but such arrivals have become more and more common in the late 19th century as the population of London continues to grow. In the short 20 years since his arrival , Theo Bell has become a household name and the relevance of his past quickly replaced by the future he is creating for himself. Very respectful of his elders, well spoken despite his heavy southern draw and lack of education, while very decisively pro Camarilla. Theo Bell has become economically successful despite his young age, lack of proper education and the color of his skin which even among kindred comes with stereotypical prejudice. His primary resource is East Londons street gangs which he has organized into a criminal empire built largely on the opium trade in which Theo Bell has become well connected. Most Opium in London comes from foreign trade and it's unclear who these trade partners are who are so willingly investing into such a young kindred, but the business of the drug trade is not something that was tapped into when Theo Bell arrived. No kindred in London could have predicted that mortals would waste their limited time on earth destroying themselves on an expensive drug that very obviously cuts lives short. Theo Bell clearly did and it has very quickly made him a rich man. Theo Bell for all intents and purposes however is a Neonate, wet behind the ears, eager to please and there is an assumption that he very clearly must belong to someone in the city. Charismatic he may be, but its seems unlikely a vampire with such limited age could be this successful without help. Whoever his proprietor is, he has stayed silent and invisible. This might make sense when you consider the ugliness of the business that Theo runs is. The drug trade is in its infancy and already it's clear that it is the activity of the poor and the criminal, requiring an active down dressing to be successful. An established vampire would be looked down upon for participating in such an enterprise and indeed, such is the case with Theo bell who is seen as a lower class vampire not just for the color of his skin and the fact that he is a Brujah in London, but because of the company he keeps.
