The Hoji System

On the border of Near Space, approx. 400 LY from Pact core worlds, Hoji is a rim system on the very inner edge of The Vast. Drift travel time from Pact Worlds system to Hoji varies between 5 and 30 days for a Signal-Basic Rated Engine, and is frequently beset by perilous encounters. The star, a yellow main-sequence star approximately 2 billion years old, is orbited by 6 planets with an asteroid belt between the second and third planet.   The system has been colonized for almost 30 years, having been one of the original 24 systems surveyed in the Joint Exploration Expedition sent forth by the Absalom Pact, Veskarium, and various corporate partners and non-governmental organizations. Trips from the Pact Worlds and Veskarium have been limited at best, as has been technology and resource sharing. Within the system itself, a rough yet enduring cluster of all life awaits, with their own politics, history, and intrigue having developed away from Near Space.
