Lady's Clough

See The Sanctuary    Lady's Clough

Lady's Clough is an ancient religious complex based around an unusual large and deep fissure in one of the picturesque valleys of The Folgob Highlands, a few days' ride from the city of Hollyholm. The site comprises of a series of subterranean chamber leading to a very beautiful underground lake - the Rosheen Waters.
The site had been a place of worship for millennia and has been 'repurposed' by the Sanctuary.
Worshippers to the Alven gods can see glimpses of ancient splendiferous chapels and there are rumours of undiscovered passages going deep within the crust of the earth.

In modern times, the site has become a pleasant and popular retreat for the wealthy lowlanders during the Light Months of the Year.
The nearby town of Holytorr and its now ruined tower of the same name (Holytorr Tower) have gained a romantic reputation and the green hills have become a fashionable site for newlyweds to spend the The Feast of Medua in the month of Swelltyme.
As such the site is a joint place of worship of both Medua and Brigand - both godesses' favours being needed to ensure the union will be fruitful.
