So you want to send me fanart, fanfiction, or your ideas for the Hummelverse? I am super honoured and happy that you enjoy it! However, there's some things I ask you to keep in mind.
I appreciate the effort you put into your fanworks and ideas, suggestions, concepts, etc. I'd love to see/hear them, but there have been incidents in the past (luckily, not concerning me yet) that complicate this. To avoid getting in trouble, I have to put the following disclaimer regarding submissions:
- Unless specifically requested by me, Arty, please do not send your fanworks, ideas, characters, or concepts to me.
- If I requested those and you send them to me, you automatically forfeit all rights to the fanwork, ideas, characters, or concept, and allow me to use them for any purpose related to the Hummelverse - even commercially. You will not be compensated in any way and I am not required to credit you, unless I specifically stated such conditions beforehand.
- If you do send them to me unrequested, you automatically forfeit all rights to the fanworks, ideas, characters, or concepts, and allow me to use them for any purpose related to the Hummelverse - even commercially. You will not be compensated in any way, and I am not required to credit you.
- All of the above doesn't mean I'll go look for your fanarts and sell them printed on shirts. It only applies if you tag/message/email/contact me directly with your content. Typical uses of content will be incorporating concepts and characters into my intellectual property, or displaying fanworks in public spaces.
This is not me trying to cheat you out of your rights,
this is me trying not to get sued and trying to protect you from stressful legal stuff. Thank you for understanding.
