A familiar world of both chaos and order, where the forces of good and evil live in both harmony and strife. A magical world filled with wonders but the forces that bring these mystical mysteries always seem to bring destruction in their wake. The gods of this world have risen and fallen, many old gods being slain in the Days of Chaos and the rest falling into deep slumber; and for each god that vanished a new one took its place from the ancient races upon this world. One by one, many of the old gods fell and one by one a new deity rose to seize their domain and rule in their stead. Each continent saw the painful results of the war between mortals and gods and the scars of the conflict still liter the lands.
After the Prime Sundering, The Second Sundering, The Days of Chaos and The Divine Sundering the world is now deep within the Third Age of Mortals separated into 4 distinct continents each with a unique and eventful history. Esteraria, also known as the Wild Lands, is the largest of the 4 continents and home to countless tribes of of Wild-folk; Groups of indigenous and naturalistic tribes that have lived off the lands of Esteraria and done so in a symbiotic way with the world around them. Across the Vast Seas, on the other side of the world, lies both Aelith and Rakesh; Two continents that have long been at war and for that reason has sprouted one of the most powerful mage councils ever conceived, The Kythar Consortium.
As Rakesh remains scarred from the Crusades of Fire at the end of the First Age, the inhabitants of the Scorched Continent are left fighting for the few resources factions can hoard. As Aelith was long ago blessed by the Gods of Old, the rolling hills and towering mountains of the holy lands are a point of envy for many nations. Off a chain of island in the southeast corner of the world, sits a dangerous land known as The Atoro Edith, or the Sunken Continent. Long ago flooded by the cruel Gods of Old, a majority of the continent now lies beneath the water. Left to gather barnacles and torment the sailors of the water for generations past.
