While wielding a shield your character may suffer two strain to use this talent as a maneuver to reduce all damage they suffer by one plus their ranks in Resilience until the end of the following round. The GM may decided that damage suffered by you ignores this reduction in the event that it would make no narrative sense for your shield to prevent it. (Such as damage take from the Burn effect that was triggered before this talent was activated)
