Arcanite Weaver
Arcanite Weavers are large arcanid creatures that glow with the same etheral blue glow as raw arcanite. They are exclusively found in areas with high conentrations of the rare mineral, and as such their presence in caverns and tunnels in considered a fortunate boon for miners and adventurers alike.
Unlike other arachnids, Arcanite Weavers are tied deeply to the arcanite that makes their home, and as such they have limited spellcasting abiltiies, and a hardly resistance to direct magical attacks. They surive on a diet of insects and caver vermin, however they have been known to target some of the smaller sentient species in rare situations (such as Vermyn, or even Kinderstarke.) While not typically aggresive, attempts to interact with the raw arcanite near their nests will nearly always provoke attack from the creatures.
Weavers get their name from the dense webs they often weave through the sunken areas that make their home. The blue glow of the webs draws insects and vermin alike, where they become trapped in the webs thick cords. The Weaver will let their prey struggle for hours, until exhaustion sets in - allowing the great spider to descend on it's prey without fear of reprisal.
