Blackcoral (Material)

While blackcoral is regarded but most of the races in empire as far too brittle a material for crafting melee weapons, is still used by some of the more feral aquatic races (primarily Murlocks) in lieu of more traditional crafting materials.


What Blackcoral lacks in durability, it more than makes up for with it's ability to amplify magical energies. As such, blackcoral is commonly used in various magical implements, particularly in regions with direct access to the ocean. When used magical implements, blackcoral has a measured effectiveness for producing powerful enchantments and spells - in particular those that seek to amplify the materials natural affinity for the sea.
