A weapon so brutal it was seriously considered for being completely banned from the empire, the flechette rifle uses arcane coils to fire bursts of tiny metal spears called flechettes that explode from the end of the pistol in wide arc that shreds everything in its path. Fortunately for the weapon's target, the flechettes lose their momentum rather quickly and quickly lose their deadly effect after a short distance - however anything on the wrong end of a flechette rifle is rendered into a mist of sinew and bone.
