Fleurmanna Precipitation

Believed by some countries to be a sign of prosperity and sanctuary from The Goddess, fleurmanna precipitation is a natural event where spores floating high in the atmosphere of Altwaus bloom and behind to "rain" down on the landscape below them.   The spores seemingly come from nowhere and dissipate quickly if not immediately harvested - leaving many cultures to believe the presence of fluermanna a miracle as the flakes are sweet tasting and nutritionally dense; they have provided respite and nourishment to many cultures during famine over the millennia.   In reality, fleurmanna is actually a minuscule spore-like lifeform that repopulates by "evaporating" its spores into the atmosphere so they can be spread to faraway areas. The mature form of the plant lives underground in a near paste-like substance where it sends tendrils up to the surface in order to absorb magic and sunlight.

Manifestation

Fleurmanna typically displays as a "rain" of a flaky substance that floats down from the sky shortly after sunrise. The precipitation event only lasts a handful of minutes, but in short order, tens of thousands of fluermanna can be distributed miles of wilderness. Once settled on the ground, Fluermanna will quickly begin to dissolve if exposed to water, leaving behind a thick sweet tasting gruel that will eventually settle into the rock and soil.    By midmorning few if any of the fleurmanna will remain on the surface.

Localization

The evaporation of fluermanna spores only occurs in areas where the spores have previously settled, however the pre-bloomed spores can travel hundreds of miles over wind currents before meeting the ideal conditions to encourage the bloom and eventual precipitation of the spores.    Still though, the event is as remote as it is rare, with confirmed cases of fluermanna precipitation rarely if ever occurring over populated areas.
