Special : Allows most species to breathe underwater. Average dResilience to use.
A dry sponge-like plan that grows exclusively in hot and dry areas, guestweed is used a variety of alchemical recipes for it's innate magical properties. Guestweed is perhaps best known for it's strange reaction to large amounts of water, causing the weed to foam, expand, and then soldify into a porous compound in a matter of seconds. If placed into the mouths of most creatures and then subwerged in water - the plant's reaction with root itself its wielder's oral cavaity and respitory system before hardening in place. The experience is described as "unpleasant" and "invasive" by those who have tried it, however once rooted into the bearer's system the porous compound serves as a natural filtration system for water and many other oxygeon bearing liquids - allowing the bearer to "breathe" underwater. The duration of the effect is frustrating unpredictable, and typically lasts anywhere between twenty minutes to two hours before the bearer begins taking in water with each breath.
This effect lasts until the end of the encounter, or one hour. d rolled from any check while under the effects of guestweed could be used to end its effects, making the character lose its benefits. Alternatively, a character could use the Dispel spell, targeting a character under the effects of guestweed to make the character lose its benefits.
