Hearthrind Mushrooms

A small off-white mushroom that grows in tight clustered colonies, Hearthrind typically favors growth in dense, well trodden soil. When stepped on my a person or animal, the mushrooms burst and cover the feet of intruders with a sticky membrane that contains the reproductive spores of the fungus. Once stuck to a foot, the spores slowly dislodge from their placement spreading the fungal spores further down the beaten path.
