A heavily reinforced shortbow made of highly inflexible wood, a heavy bow is immovable save by all but the strongest archer. Once fully taunt however, a heavy bow is capable of delivery it's payload with over a hundred pounds of draw power behind it. Despite it's powerful shot however the arrows tend to shatter on impact, and as such it lacks the armour penetrating power of crossbows and modern firearms.
