Illiterate

Due to alvain influence it is common for all by the most remote villagers in Alwaus to have access to a base level of education. Basic reading and addition can be expected from all but the most hard-headed although it is not unusual to find even noblemen or merchants who simply never mastered the written form of The Common Language. Characters can potentially overcome this challenge of course, provided enough time and effort is expended to convince the GM that the efforts have been made to justify it. The player would then need to spend 10 experience points and change this Bane's to simply read "This character has overcome this Bane and can now read the common language."
