The Village of Tribute
A mundane and quiet village at the mouth of the Tributary River delta, Tribute is named after the mighty river that feeds it's people and industry. It is settled on the western shore of Central Highlands(Kaldaria) and owes it's taxes and allegience to The Port City of Rystanburg. While the village itself is of average wealth, it is experiencing a period of sustained growth in both population and economic output.
Demographics
A human village of primarily [Kaldari descent, the roughly century and a half that call the village their home are a smattering of simple peasants and farmers, with the occasional merchant or retired solider among them.
Government
As a village in the Territorial Grant of Kaldaria, Tribute follows all the laws and customs of the Kaldari people. (and therefore The Eternal Empire.) Like most other villages, Tribute is governed locally a mayor who is elected from among the most prominent and succesful villagers in the village. While the mayor has littel actual power, the role is still respected in Tribute and the local mayor is often called upon to be an unoffical judge and jury for small claim civil cases amongst the farmers and merchants. Outside of this framework however, the village falls under the juristicton of The Port City of Rystanburg and as such it owes it's allegeience to it's Lord and Governor.
Defences
The defences of Tribute are so trival they don't bare mentioning. The Kaldari Highlands (Region) are a demilitarized zone by order of The Eternal Empire, and as such private possession of personal weapons is a capital offence. Despite this, the village is seldom in danger, as it's position west of The Imperial Highway and north of the larger river capillaries serves as a natural deterrent to brigands and local fauna.
Industry & Trade
Most of the indsutry of Tribute is based either directly or indirectly on The Tributary River. Further up rivers lies a spattering of other villages and settlements, so trade up and down the river can be a profitable venture for those who make their trade with negotation and barter. Both the river and sea to the west of tribute are rife with sealife, and fesh and saltwater fishing are both growing industries in the small village. The river swells frequently each spring, and the resulting silt is an excellent accelerate for plant growth, causing agricultural output in the village to be stronger than a village it's size has any right to. The main source of income for the village is the forestry industry that is focused furher up river. Raw timber is floated in heavy bundle down the mighty Tributary, where it is prodded and guided through the river's waters by the collection of villages at it's bank. Tribute is the last village on this journey, and as such it is responsible for final inspection and binding of the raw timber before it can be shipped north to Rystanburg. Most of the timber is sent in a raw state, however a small sawmill is present to the northeast of Tribute where a small percentage of the wood is converted for local use.
Infrastructure
The village of tribute is small, but growing. Some local amnesties include:
The Chapel, The Local Inn, The Shoreside Inn, The Riverside Inn, General Store, Herbalist, Riverside Docks, Seaside Port, Lumber Mill.

Assets
The assets of the village are rather limited, as most trade goods are better served being sent out to market. What little assets remain in Tribute are the property of individuals within the village itself.
Guilds and Factions
The village is far too small to attract the attention of any formal guilds. (except for a specific incident four years prior in regards to Tribute's role in the supply chain for logging.) Within the village however, unofficial factions are known to spring up among people working in common trades. The farmers in particular are quick to help each other in the event a bad year or crop failure. Despite this however, there is little infighting or political maneuvering in relation to these factions - likely because there is so little power to be seized in Tribute.
History
While Tribute is far too small and new to have much in the way of true history, the lands that tribute rest on now were part of the contested territories that were to be flooded by the the Kaldari's planned damming of the Tributary River. The debate about whether or not to permit the daming of the river would be the spark that led to the onset of The Birthright War.
Architecture
Urban planning is non existent for villages the size of Tribute, and as such each building within the village follows it's own erratic patterns and design in it's construction. Most buildings however are a mix of stone and timber, both of which can be found rather easily in the surrounding area.
Geography
Tribute is situated at the north of the strongest capillary of the Tributary River delta. To the south, the rest of the delta spread out across the flood plains and farmslands that cover the fertile soil. To the west, sits the endless vista of the sea. Most of the area surrounding the village is either open farmland or hardsand beaches, with a few pockets of wooded areas that still remain unconquered by a Kaldari axe.
