The Zephyrite gem, with its captivating blue hue and swirling white streaks, symbolizes the dynamic forces of air and electricity harnessed by the Valbrand's magical bloodline, as the arcanists presented from the family nearly all demonstrate remarkable natural affinity for Aerotheurge  magic.
For each successive heir to the throne, the acceptance of the family ring with the Zephyrite gem is a solemn rite of passage. The moment a Stormlord prince or princess receives the ring from the reigning monarch, they signify their readiness to embrace their destiny as a future leader of the Stormlord culture.
The gemstone's natural ability to store and direct electrical charges has also taken on a mystical effect on Stormlord culture. While the wearer of the ring is not likely able to direct the latent Blitzkrieg energy of the ring, it is said that those unfit to wear the ring will have even less control, and be subject to routine electrical shocks.
