The Iphelele silk is created when an Iphelele larval cocoons themselves for development into a child, it is roughly the size just bigger than a 5 year old child. As the Ipehelele are located on skull island the silks origin is found in Ipey.

History & Usage

Everyday use

The Iphelele don't typically wear clothing as chitin provides functions similar to clothes, but those who wish to appear more elegant or fashionable use Ipehelele silk garments. The silk is easy to use with the pure dye on it to change its color.

Refinement

It is boiled to soften up before being threaded for use in other goods.

Manufacturing & Products

Using pure dyes on it changes it to various other colors and manufactured into fabrics.

Trade & Market

You can find purchase or have products made from Ipehelele silk within Ipey itself, but those who aren't brave enough and forced to pay a higher cost will buy the silk in safer location or make contracts outside of Bogmire. Those willing to make a more significant profit will risk buying directly from the source.
