Oscrov Okhravric

Demographics

Though all are welcome, the majority of the Swimmers are of Orcish descent

Government

Oscrov Okhravric is a tight knit community, everyone plays a part, each contribute to the survival of the Swimmers.

Industry & Trade

Expert fisherman, the Swimmers and their salt water crocodiles are able to obtain the rarest fish of the seas. Having honed a unique bond between man and beast, they have been able to conquer a small part of the ocean. The ocean being incredibly dangerous, filled with gigantic see monsters and Ragin storms, most civilizations refuse to venture into the endless waters, thusly seafood is a rarity that fetches the highest prices.    Other than seafood, the swimmers trade in inventions and technology, spreading their, more refined ideas across the numirian isle, for all to prosper off of.

Infrastructure

A marvel of scavenged technology, the swimmers, have created a small network of islands built on the salvage that hails from the skies. The debree, thought of as divine blessings, falls into a scrap pile that the swimmers now utilise in growing their economy. Large water wheels, and various advanced farming equipment, created from scrap and mismatched metals, all showcase the intelligence and wisdom of this reformed race.

History

The orcs of the impaled planet used to a daring, warring faction. Feared by all other races, they pillaged and plundered any unlucky souls that came upon their travels. Making a life from brutalizing settlements, the orcs never settled, living only in war camps slowly navigating through the isle. Until the collapse of their society. Having pillaged and ravaged all the land, the population dwindled, whole villages wiped off the face of the land. The orcs could no longer survive living off of tradition.    One tribal leader, stood out from the rest. This leaders intelligence, and estranged way of thinking separated his clan from the rest. Upon realising the collapse of the land was inevitable, his directed his clan onto the riskiest of endeavours and sailed out onto the seas. However the ship their clan sailed on was destroyed a mere fraction into their journey. Lucky enough to sink within range of their new home. A garbage island where scraps had collected under the clouds. Have no way home, the orcs acclimatized to their new home, building strange machines out of the scraps, utilising the skills of their ancestors they preyed on giant grabs, making use of every morsel of the beasts, using their chiton for armour and fertilizer, their claws for weapons and their abdomens for shields. Through great struggles, the orcs slowly adapted to their environment, thriving in their new age, while the remnants of the old orcs all but went extinct.

Points of interest

The orcs are mad geniuses, they didicate their lives to the pursuit of scientific advancement and agricultural ingenuity. The orcs don't concern themselves with safety protocols as they distract from advancement. And so have a specially dedicated centre for their scientists to perform their experimentations. Having learnt from past mistakes, of irreparably damaging the carefully crafted island habitat.

Architecture

As scavengers, this race of orcs buildings are a mismatch of driftwood and rusted metals, collecting what they can from the waters they dwell and accepting any divine gifts they're blessed with.
