Caer Tuza

A massive wizards tower in the center of Lake Winona thats just always been there. It’s the continent's most prestigious school for magic and sorcery. Not ruled by any nation (even the Empire), it maintains a stance of absolute neutrality when it comes to politics. Its current headmaster, the half-elf Elmindalf Aurel, has held the position for over a thousand years, well exceeding his normal lifespan by several times. No one actually knows exactly how old he is though as when people ask he always says a different reason or simply just winks.
Caer Tuza and the area around it has the highest concentration of magic in the known world, the Weave is so prevalent here that mages say it almost feels like you could just reach out and grab it, but no one quite knows exactly why despite extensive research. All that the academics of Caer Tuza could surmise was that it isn’t natural. Because of this however, spellcasting in and around Caer Tuza is noticeably easier.
