Firbolgs

Firbolgs are a race that are distant cousins of giants and are naturally attuned to nature and the magic found in those wild places. Standing between 7 and 8 feet tall, usually weighing around 240 to 300 pounds, and sporting greyish or pinkish skin, Firbolgs stand tall and strong as gentle giants. They have large flat noses and furry, pointed ears, with their hair being thick and with the males sporting thick, bushy beards. They also have tough, thick skin and their voices are usually deep and smooth. Firbolgs relativly long lifespans as well. Reaching adulthood at 30 years old and living as long as 500 years.
With their form of fey ancestry, all firbolgs have some innate form of magic, usually of the illusion school, and can even communicate in a limited manner with plants and animals. This close connection to the feywild and all of nature sees many firbolgs becoming druids or rangers and protecting or looking after some wild place or even just a small garden if they live in an urban area, although this is rare due to their size.
