Celestial
Celestial is the language of celestials and some mortals. One of the most ancient languages in Faerûn, it is an ancient tongue formed by servants of the Prime Deities.
Clerics, paladins, and all manner of religious clergy will often take the time to learn Celestial, anticipating that it may come in use when reading old religious scripture or communicating with their gods. Bards may attempt to learn the language as well, considering it a romantic language that easily rhymes and works well for poetry.

Writing System
Celestial has its own script. It uses an alphabet consisting of 20 letters, most of which can roughly translate to a handful of sounds in the Thorass alphabet.
Phonology
Celestial is often described as beautiful, yet alien in nature, since it developed among beings with thought patterns very unlike those of humanity. It is a highly inflected language.
