Aasimar

"There was once a belief in Humans who were touched by the divine and created their own splinter race in the insular city of Aureola. In the Auld Tharian tongue, one would call them Aasimar.
This theory was proved incorrect by the rising of The Goddess; as she is human, any divinity lies within humanity. The denizens of Aureola are as human as you or I, and fell without a fight to the Imperial army. Claims otherwise are as good as blasphemous."
