Clay Dwarves

These are Dwarves that come from the earthy lands of The Haim and The Eyrie. Their skin is often the same shade as clay is and they're known for their skill with ceramics and pottery alongside their mining and forging. It's not usual for them to pack on layers of clay into their beard and hair to protect themselves before going into battle.
Mostly peaceable, they live in settlements built under human cities, like mirrors of the above. The largest of these is Ancreim, under and to the south of Miercna. Their homes are warmed by the kilns each family owns, and filled with soft furniture and knick-knacks. As a group, they highly value anything made by hand and the highest honor is to give them something you've made yourself. Diplomats sent to the Clay Dwarves often have to be skilled craftspeople themselves.
They pay a great deal in taxes, so The Emperor's men tend to let them be.
