Kazedin Clone-Cult
The Kazedin Cult is a sun-worshiping religious movement born out of a population of lesser clones revering the local star, Kazed, as a benevolent god figure. Clones (kune-ir) are, unlike drones, bred for intelligence, autonomous thinking and selected based on their aptitude in various fields/categories. However, they are not regarded as fully sapient, merely sentient at best (mentally similar to highly intelligent animals). Clones are not seen as true individuals and fully part of wider Kvukri society. Clones are capable of proving themselves to be true individuals (possessing 'selfhood', known as harif), but it is a lengthy and difficult process and those who do not stand out are virtually never granted the opportunity to reach for selfhood.
The Kazedin movement was born amongst those clones who not only failed to move higher to achieve selfhood, but remain in the lowest class of jobs - various jobs requiring direct supervision of drone crews in isolated areas but not needing a full Biomancer to do so. Lacking any sort of outlet and possessing a fairly rudimentary understanding of the universe around them, these clones began to see the light of Kazed as a sign of peace and hope. Only when exposed to Kazed's light did many of them feel any sensation beyond base drudgery. To the clones, who had never seen the light of any star, the bright light of Kazed was truly awe inspiring. It didn't take long for these clones to offer prayers to Kazed to bless them with Her (most attribute Kazed with the feminine gender to match the grammatical gender for the word for sun which is feminine) merciful light and peace. To them, Kazed watches over all living things in the system through her light and welcomes their souls into her being to safeguard after one dies.
The Kazedin movement is a pacifistic and peaceful faith, expressing a preference to look to a future of peace and painlessness rather than dwell on the current life of misery. These tenets, plus the fact that the faith held by clones and not true Kvukri (that is, the believers are not sapient), renders the faith a non-issue in the eyes of the Synod - the Kvukri church organization in the Kazed system.
