The Sovereign's Palace
Often called the Palace of Ankhron (the name of the second Sovereign, Ankhron Mekhnir, who had the palace built), the Sovereign's Palace is the seat of the executive branch of Kazed's Kvukri government. The Palace is a sprawling structure that was originally its own orbital station before being directly integrated into the much larger Tzemno Spire station. Within the Palace are the offices for the members of the Imperial Council - the group that aids the Sovereign in his duties, often acting as the head of small Ministry analogs.
The Palace appears as a smaller reflection of Tzemno Spire - a large organic pillar in space, tied to the larger Spire with several large tethers made of the same bone/chitin substance. On the Tzemno sides of the tethers are plazas and small building spaces still regarded as part of the Sovereign's Palace (think of them as gatehouses and public meeting areas). The Palace's main body is split into the Sovereign's Quarter (his personal chambers), the Council Quarter (the residence space for the Imperial Council), Menon's Plaza (the large 'open air' space near the center of the Palace), the Barracks of the Throneguards, the Administration Quarter (the work office area for the Sovereign and his Councilors), the Diplomats' Quarter (residences for envoys to the Sovereign), the Leisure Quarter, the Public Districts and the Memorial District.
The Memorial District was established by the Fourth Sovereign Beshbu as a site of remembrance for not only the past Sovereigns but for prominent members of the Concord. His successor Nimkay would also incorporate memorials to the heroic or tragic dead from the Tmezin-Iluyod War as well as the few explorers who had perished in their duties. As such, the Memorial District is open for public tours frequently, with the heart of the complex commemorating the past Sovereigns and major figures of the Conclave and Noble Houses of note.
