Using Destiny Points

All characters (including NPCs) have their own pool of five positive 'Destiny Points' (DP), which can be used to change your destiny in a few different ways and five negative Destiny Points which are spent against each character to change their fate for the worse.
Cost Use
1
Get a hint or recommendation from the GM
1 DP per Rarity + 1, max = 3 Produce a previously undocumented item with an En of 1 or less. This item may not be sold, and disappears/breaks at the end of the Session (unless GM decides it is needed for several Sessions).
If it is a weapon, it has the Limited Ammo 1 Quality.
Items that cannot be withdrawn include: Painkillers, TBD
Various changes to the story
  • 1 "Tiny": Remember the customary greeting to a particular species. You happen to know a 'certain someone' able to provide a small amount of information or a hint.
  • 2 "Minor": At the vital moment, you discover how to generate the power needed to restart the starship, or make the villains henchman fall in love with the character allowing them to escape later.
  • 3-4 "Major": A lifesaving plot twist: a squad of troopers turn up to investigate the strange happenings, just as the characters are finding themselves outgunned, or they learn that the only way to save another character is through an extreme sacrifice of their own.
  • 5-7 "Massive"The Teleportation Circle or Air Corridor materialises around the characters just as they are thrown out of the starship's airlock, or a Player agrees that their PC should work for the villains as a double agent for a few Sessions.
  • 8-12 "Climatic": Rose absorbing the heart of the TARDIS, and the sacrifice she makes to remove the Daleks from the... wait, wrong franchise.
  • 13-15 "Insane": Trapping villains for eternity in the heart of a star or rebooting the universe.
2 DP Upgrade one of your d into a c or if you are the target of a check, or your defending d into a c.
x2 Story Points Where Story Points are required to activate a Talent, double the number to utilise Destiny Points.
