Terror skirmish in Nabokon, Verces

Military action

An attack between two enforced-augmentism groups, NextStep and ReMakers, exploded onto the streets. A group of Steward Initiates were accidentally teleported onto the scene and managed to free and then defend a hospital full of hostages, allowing local militia to move against the terrorists.

During a spell to both attune them to long-range teleportation and transport them to basic training for the Stewards, the Draw Gate failed and made an emergency deposit on Verces. They emerged in Nabokon in the midst of a large-scale turf war between two rising terrorist groups: ReMakers and NextStep.
While not familiar with the area, Tyrfing and his fellow Initiates discovered a hospital being used as hostage against outside interferance. Reasoning that they had only minutes to extract before they were detected and the hostages executed, the would-be Stewards made the decision to risk an assault the building with no equipment or weaponry, utilising stealth and superior training to save as many lives as they could.
The mission was a success, however more than half of the Initiates sacrificed their lives in the assault, and Tyrfing's remaining eye had to be surgically removed. Tyrfing and the survivors were heroes, and this time it was the Stewards that paid for the matching eye - and the rest of his training was fasttracked.
