The Iron Kingdoms are a conglomerate of proud peoples who have survived war, famine, plague, foreign occupation, and slavery, and are now rebuilding themselves in the wake of an apocalypse. The Claiming, an event in which infernal creatures broke into the world of Caen and to harvest fully two thirds of the souls of Immoren to repay a cosmic debt - the gift of magic - was only narrowly averted by the united efforts of every living soul in Immoren.
The Iron Kingdoms are a place of mages, rifles, steam-powered bipedal automata - the mighty steamjacks. It is also a place of savage struggle between the fires of industrial development, opportunistic colonialism, and the sheer brutality of the wilds with its untamed magicks and pitiless monsters.
This is a repository for information gleaned from the Iron Kingdoms: Requiem 5e setting. I'm building this to get comfortable with WorldAnvil and to be a resource for many campaigns set in the Iron Kingdoms for years to come.
