Niall Magnusson
Niall Magnusson is descendant of Jarls of Jomsborg, who were powerful in the Old World. They assumed they should retain or even strengthen their position after the migration. However, they did not know Ironlands and underestimated its dangers. Lot of people died due to Broken. It is said that because of stubbornness of Niall’s father, Magnus, some great warriors entered the Cursed Grove and never returned. Perhaps they became Broken themselves. Those who survived said that Jarls of Jomsborg are no longer good leaders.
Niall swore to restore his family reputation (Background Vow). Rescuing the people of Axehome from the threat of Broken and their Black Shaman with the aid of his new friends, Einar and Sola, was the first step towards this goal.
Niall desires Fang of Jomsborg, a sword imbued with the spirit of his ancestor. The sword is now missing, as well as Niall's father Magnus. Perhaps the mysterious chest found in the spider cave close to Axehome can contain some clue...
He hates Broken, and would like to see Cursed Grove burned to the ground, but has not yet sworn any Iron Vow in this matter. He is quite obsessed about Broken, so he is very suspicious about the red moss found in the Kuno's campsite and wants to have it carefully examined by wise scholars.
Niall is charismatic (3 Heart), clever (2 Wits) and strong (2 Iron), but not very agile (1 Edge) and has little success when it comes to sneakiness, deceptiveness or cunning (1 Shadow).
Niall has deep connection with his hawk, Ari (Hawk). One of his most precious possessions is the hawk’s totem (Totem).
He is skilled with fighting using a shield (Shield-bearer).
