The Kra’shal Mountains (krah-shahl)

The kra'shal mountains are the colossal mountain range that spans the entirety of the north of the Island. They possess a great and harsh natural beauty, like oleander flowers - dangerous, but enthralling all the same. The only people crazy enough to dwell there are a few wild barbarian tribes, constantly warring amongst themselves for the few resources that they have.

Geography

The north of the island almost entirely consists of this wild, untamed mountain range. It is full of scarped cliffs and plunging ravines, with valleys carved out by frozen rivers and waterfalls that almost never thaw. The mountains themselves are toweringly grand, watching over the world with their eternal rugged grace. Their sheer enormity is enough to dwarf the tallest towers; their ancient, unchanging presence makes all matters seem trivial and unimportant. Breathtaking glaciers scatter this multitude of lofty, imposing peaks, along with glitering, frosted forests even more ancient than the gods themselves. The blue mountains can be split up into several regions, each with distinctive characteristics and inhabitants. Detailed below are some of the more well known.
