Great Northern woods
Geography
The Northern woods are located north of the river Edge. They contain hillsides to the east ending near the mountains of evil. Center north are Maide's tears, a series of huge black lakes. Further eastward is Giant's heel and Bitter rocks. These geological formations are a subject to many legends and folk tales. Eastern an Northern border are set by the sea with the eastern border guarded by the Black Tooth. The evil looking mountain can be seen for miles and is one of the few orientation points above the trees.
Fauna & Flora
The woods are diverse in elevation and types of ground the biodiversity shifts. In west its usually herbs and small mamals and lizards such as marmosets and agile lizards. Moving under the trees one will find a variety of birds and tall game. Bitter rocks are known to house nests for birds of prey or storks. Giant's heel on the other hand is nown for large variety of mosses and lichen and finaly Underneath the devil's middle finger insects and insectivorous lizards have their domain. I am not accounting for the rich fauna of the river Ege however as it has it's own article.
