Eberichi Hold

The Eberichi Hold is the smallest of the seven different holds within the Vastran Kingdom, and the majority of the people that live within this hold are along the coast. Sharing borders with three different holds as well as only being a short ways away from the island of draconia, The Eberichi Hold is a melting pot of people from throughout Wren. Creating ingenious trade vessels with shallow bases that could easily sail across the open ocean as well as inland rivers, the people of this hold become famous for creating and maintaining trade routes even before the founding of the Vastran Kingdom. Now the hold is seen as the entrance into the Vastran Kingdom by many traders from all across The Reach. The capital city of Paravia spans across miles and miles of the southern portion of the hold, welcoming travelers to its shores.

Demographics

Unlike other areas in the Vastran Kingdom, the people of the Eberichi Hold have been coming and going for thousands of years. Ideally located for trade with O'Valir, people from all across The Reach have made their way into the hold. Humans remain the most dominant race in the hold, but there are large populations of elves, dragonborn, and halflings all throughout Eberichi.

Government

The Warden of the old is selected from the nobility here, but there is not a large noble class in this hold. Many of the richest people in this hold have come into that wealth more recently than people in other holds as they have benefited from a boom in trade over the last several hundred years. This means that the Warden of Eberichi has a small amount of wealth in comparison to owners of massive trading companies who live within the hold.

History

For many years no one lived along the scenic coasts here, but eventually settlers from the Batalla Hold made their way along the coast to settle here. Originally many people who lived here farmed and fished to survive, with very little trade happening. As fishing boats developed it allowed for fishermen to push further out to sea and begin trading not only with the Draconians but also with the Anorian Empire thousands of years before the Vastran Kingdom was even established. 
In the hundreds of years leading up to the formation of the Vastran Kingdom, the wealthy nobles from the area began developing strong trade routes than spanned across Wren as well as to the coast of O'Valir. This turned a small hold that mainly survived from fishing and farming that would openly trade with bigger and more established settlements into an area where the majority of O'Valiran trade passes through.
