Jarg Hellustein

Jarg Hellustein is a collection of clans of goliaths who banded together forming an alliance with one another to survive in the harsh climate of The Expanse. Together these clans come to each other's aid when they are in need, and are willing to stand back to back in any fight that they may have. Spread out all across the territory north of The Blood Peak Mountains Hellustein has much influence over The Expanse, but that is not much to say in comparison to many of the other great nations of The Reach.

Structure

Hellusteins are alliances formed between goliath clans, and operate of a system of faith and trust with one another. This leads to clans calling on the aid of their allies in times of need with the promise of repayment either through lending their hand in a time of need or through tributes back to those who helped them. This means there is rarely a need to call a meeting to discuss the conditions of a Hellustein. 
When calling a Hellustein, the leaders of the clans already within the Hellustein are brought to meet with one another as well as an leader of a clan that is being proposed to join in on this alliance. These meetings set requirements on what sort of aid must be given when it is called upon, and and issues can be resolved by two rivaling clans by allowing the other leaders vote and deliberate almost as a council. These meeting are more often than not about introducing new clans into the Hellstein 
There are many clans within Jarg Hellustein, but there are four that are the most important and influential. The first is the Thunder Warrior Clan they are most renowned for producing warriors who are far and above the most deadly fighters north of The Blood Peak Mountains. The second is the Storm Jumper Clan, they are most known for their prowess on the water, raiding villages and settlements all along the coast line as well as anywhere along the interconnected rivers of The Expanse. Next is the Ever Shade clan, which is known for their wealth in comparison with many other tribes as they have easy ways to trade with the Vastran Kingdom. Finally there is the Dream Seeker clan which is one of the smaller clans in Jarg Hellustein, but the ability to see into the future is a gift that is passed down from seer to seer in this clan.

Culture

A Hellustein can be created between any two clans at anytime, it is a long standing tradition within Goliath cultures that dates back to the times before the Vastran Kingdom. These sorts of alliances rise and fall throughout goliath territories, but Jarg Hellustein is the current alliance that has numerous different clans through The Expanse bonded together. Although not all goliath tribes fall within this alliance many of the most influential have joined in, finding it easier to work together to conquer the dangerous lands of The Expanse.

History

Originally formed by the Thunder-Warrior clan and the Storm Jumper clan, the Jarg Hellustein began as a pact between two warrior clans to form an alliance they could use to dominate the region between the Kavi Valley and the winding rivers of The Expanse. Soon the number of members would grow and the next influential clan to join in was the Ever-Shades, who were a group of traders and hunters who fared well in ruling over an area of rolling hills at the start of the blood Peak Mountains. The most recent addition to Jarg Hellustein is the Dream-Seekers clan, which although small has given these goliaths clans access to prophetic dreams and visions that have only further aided in their control over the areas directly north of the mountains.
