Leocanto Regalo Costoso (a.k.a. The Unkillable Bard)
Fabulous Calimsham bardic entertainer, adventurer of note, citizen of good standing in Daring Heights and proprietor of The Gilded Mirror, the fanciest hotel and casino in town.
The Costoso's were a poor family from Calimport, barely able make ends meet. One day, by stroke of luck, Leocanto's father came into ownership of a tavern; a fairly shady, back-alley hovel named 'The Brass Goat'. Living and working in the tavern from an early age, Leocanto, the young half-elf, developed a passionate admiration of the talented musicians, poets and storytellers that performed there. He soon began exercising his own talents for enthralling audiences with song and story at the tavern, gaining some local renown. Sensing an opportunity, he left the small town, eschewing his past life and reinventing himself as a man of style, flourish, daring, cunning and wit. He set out to travel the world with the aim of embellishing his skills and discovering heroic new tales to tell, a road which fatefully led him to the small village of Daring Heights.
Adventuring for several years and gaining the (self-appointed) nickname of 'the Unkillable Bard', he raised funds with a group of other adventurer investors to design and build the Gilded Mirror, and even after the other investors moved on to other horizons, he remained, determined to see his dreams for the place realised.
Shortly after its completion, Leocanto retired from adventuring, determined to live life as a flamboyant entertainer should - filthy rich and starring in performances at his own venue every night. His performances are legendary, his casino will strip you dry and he loves his life.
